The Aethorian Solar System is a unique celestial arrangement featuring two suns and thirteen planets, each with its own distinct characteristics and magical properties. The system is divided into inner and outer regions by The Veil, a dense asteroid belt rich in magical minerals.

Primary Sun
The primary sun of the Aethorian system, a blazing sphere of golden light. Sol Prime provides the majority of light and warmth to the inner planets, and its radiance is associated with Soltharion, bearer of radiant justice.
Secondary Sun
The smaller of the two suns, roughly one-third the size of Sol Prime. Sol Secundus orbits in the outer system, creating complex patterns of light and shadow across Aethoria. Its orange light is associated with Malakai, embodiment of entropy.
Inner Planet
The closest planet to Sol Prime, Pyrox is a small rocky world of extreme heat. Its reddish-orange surface is covered in volcanic activity and molten rock. No known life exists here, though some scholars believe fire elementals may dwell in its depths.
Inner Planet
A planet shrouded in a dense, reflective atmosphere that traps immense heat beneath its clouds. Luminar appears as a brilliant morning and evening star from Aethoria, and ancient cultures often associated it with Lumara, goddess of life and healing.
Inner Planet
A temperate world smaller than Aethoria, with one moon. Verdant shows signs of abundant plant life visible as green patches from telescopic observation. Some theologians believe it may harbor life, though none have ever traveled there.
Inner Planet
A brilliant blue water world orbited by two small moons. Azuros appears to be almost entirely covered in ocean, giving it a striking azure appearance. It is sacred to followers of Nerissa, goddess of the seas.
Habitable Zone
The primary world and home of all known sapient races. Aethoria is orbited by three moons: Lumathel, the largest moon of silver-white radiance sacred to Lumara; Pyrathis, the amber-gold middle moon sacred to Solareth; and Shadrath, the smallest moon of violet-black hue sacred to Umbrath. It sits in the optimal habitable zone of the system.
Inner Planet
A cold, barren planet with a thin atmosphere and rusty red deserts. Two irregular moons, likely captured asteroids, orbit this desolate world. Some ancient texts speak of ruins visible on its surface, though this remains unconfirmed.
Asteroid Belt
A dense asteroid belt that marks the boundary between the inner and outer solar system. The Veil is rich in magical minerals and strange metals not found elsewhere. Some believe it to be the remains of a destroyed planet from before the First Age.
Gas Giant
A massive gas giant, the largest planet in the system. Goliath has a complex system of moons, some of which may be large enough to harbor life. Its immense gravitational pull helps protect the inner planets from cosmic debris.
Gas Giant
A turbulent gas giant known for its visible storm systems and spectacular ring system. The storms on Stormheart can be observed from Aethoria with simple telescopes, and are said to have inspired many artistic works.
Ice Giant
A pale blue ice giant with a tilted orbital axis. Frostweaver's unusual tilt creates extreme seasonal variations as it orbits. The planet is named for its appearance, which seems to weave patterns of frost across the night sky.
Gas Giant
A mysterious dark gas giant that seems to absorb light rather than reflect it. Shadowkeep is orbited by multiple dark moons, and the entire system is associated with Umbrath, god of shadows and secrets. Few observe it willingly.
Ice Giant
An ice giant so distant that it appears nearly white. Rimefrost follows a long elliptical orbit that takes it far from both suns, into the cold reaches of the outer system. It is visible only during certain times of year.
Dwarf Planet
The most distant known body in the Aethorian system, Voidwalker is a small, rocky world of eternal cold. Its highly elliptical orbit occasionally brings it closer to the suns, but for most of its year it drifts in frozen darkness.
The presence of two suns creates unique phenomena on Aethoria. During certain times of year, both suns are visible in the sky simultaneously, creating periods of extended daylight known as the "Bright Days." Conversely, when Sol Secundus passes behind Aethoria relative to Sol Prime, the nights grow darker and longer—a time associated with Umbrath and the mysteries of shadow. The complex interplay of light from both suns has shaped Aethorian culture, religion, and the very nature of magic itself.
