About the Game

Crown & Fort is a strategic board game that simulates the art of military positioning and territorial control. Popular among military strategists and nobles, the game combines elements of chance with tactical decision-making.

Game Rules

Setup:

  • Board has 24 points (12 per side)
  • Each player starts with 15 pieces off the board
  • Points are numbered 1-24 counterclockwise
  • Players sit opposite each other

Basic Rules:

  1. Roll dice to enter pieces onto numbered points
  2. Move pieces clockwise around board based on dice rolls
  3. Multiple pieces can stack on same point
  4. Single pieces can be captured if opponent lands on them
  5. Two or more pieces protect each other
  6. Captured pieces return to start
  7. First to move all pieces to final quarter and then off board wins

Advanced Rules:

  • Doubles allow four moves of that number
  • Can split dice rolls between different pieces
  • Optional doubling cube for betting

  • Protect vulnerable single pieces
  • Create blockades with multiple pieces
  • Balance offense and defense
  • Plan multiple moves ahead
  • Control key positions on the board
