Talaasan

Talaasan et' Maaranen, known as the Bronze Knight, is a Free Knight of Urudu—a dragonkin warrior who answers to no commander but goes where his oath leads him. Born of a bronze dragonkin mother (Maaranen, a respected strategist) and a human Knight Commander father who fell in battle before Talaasan's birth, he has always existed between worlds—too human for the dragons, too draconic for humans.

The Hunt for Velgaphor

Talaasan's current mission began when he discovered that Grimlock raids were not random attacks but part of a coordinated campaign. Someone was controlling the mindless creatures, turning them into a disciplined army. His investigation led him to Imperial Fortress Eastguard, where he confronted Velgaphor—a black dragonkin sorcerer—and Vascolyth, a massive dragonkin general.

These were no ordinary dragonkin. Velgaphor wielded dark magic that controlled Grimlocks through purple crystals embedded in their foreheads, while Vascolyth possessed unnatural strength and combat prowess. In a desperate battle, Talaasan wounded Velgaphor and disrupted the control over the Grimlock army, but both enemies escaped through a portal.

The Oath

As a Free Knight, Talaasan has sworn to protect the innocent and maintain the honor of the empire his father served. He carries a medallion—a bronze dragon curled around a knight's sword—the only memento of his father. His mission now is to hunt down Velgaphor and Vascolyth, who represent a threat unlike anything the empire has faced in generations.
